I have seen them on eBay for nearly $700 for the one you can get at the Play Store for $349!!!

Been looking on local Craigslist but seems only ones for sale are sprint versions! LOL

I just wondered who would pay $500 or more when you can buy straight from google for so much less??

People can ask whatever they feel for an asking price. The question is; are they selling any for $700? I hope not. People who would though are seriously misinformed and should do just a bit of shopping around.

The Galaxy Nexus on the Google Play Store is the GSM version. The LTE versions can't be bought at the Google Play store and retails for a lot higher.

And Amazon wants at least $370. I think the only reason they are even that cheap is because of the price in the Play Store, which is likely heavily subsidized by Google.

The Play Store really brought down the prices. Prior to that, $600+ was a decent asking price on ebay for one.

Also remember that the Play Store only sells to the US, so ebay sellers willing to ship outside the US will charge quite a bit more for it.

As an above poster noted, only the GSM model is on sale in the Play Store also, so the LTE models full priced are quite expensive still.

Brand new you might see those high prices and you may not see all of the listings for it. For instance, I bought 2 pretty much impeccable Verizon GNs on the ebay store for that Gazelle website for $260 listed as "used - very good" But I had to go to their actual ebay page to find their listings, they weren't showing up when I searched for the phone from the ebay home page. Of course, buying used is always a risk. I probably wouldn't buy something like a phone from Craigslist - Aside from deluded prices there's always the risk of getting a phone with a bad ESN or is stolen or bricked and there's no real protection from it. At least with amazon and ebay you get a-z gaurantees and whatnot.

I got my CDMA Nexus for Sprint brand new on eBay last week for $360, 2 day shipping included.

I just got an 3 month old, excellent condition Gnex on eBay for $175. I too was shocked at the prices some were asking. I haven't received it yet, so I'm hoping the deal is worth it. This will be the 5th phone I've purchased on eBay, 3 were great deals, 1 had a bad ESN and I waited too long to dispute the transaction. I've been using eBay for 10 years and only that 1 bad experience. However, I would avoid Craigslist like the plague.

What?!!...I'm msndrstood.
