whats wrong with my rom manager?

So when i try and flash in to clockworks it says an error occurred while attemping to run privileged commands! Dose anybody no what's going on and how to fix this?

Do you have Root... ~ Question is needed... Rom Manager Obviously needs root and Nand unlock to operate...

according to his other posts his Evo is rooted...so i'm not sure

K well what rooting Method did you use? This might be the cause...

I used the simple root ota.

run the fix permissions function in Rom Manager.

If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to re-root. I had this happen a few times as well. Fix permissions took care of it. The one time it didn't, i needed flash Amon Ra and then to re-flash Clockwork Recovery.

Well first let make sure your rooted.

Download the android sdk and put it on your local drive somewhere. open up a command prompt.
and type in the follwoing

cd: (drive that its on):\(andorind-sdk foldername)\tools

[for me its cd c:\androidsdk\tools]

Then type in

adb shell

If you get a # you have root. In which case may just need to unlock nand and flash clockwork through simpleroot.

I remember i helped some one with something similar, and we had to use the adb flash_recovery command. Lets hope its easier this time.

Or that, but the SDK might be usefull if we have to go about flashing a new recovery.

Alrite all give that a try when i get home. Im pretty sure i did everything rite tho. It gave me two choices of the recovery i wanted i didn't pick clockworks i used the other one but when it was all said and done i loaded clockworks from the market. I can load different roms by doing it the other way. I just miss the clockworks way. I had the droid and i was able to use both of them.

You might want to try and reroot...
