What's your favorite apps to sideload into the Galaxy Gear

I got jefit (workout manager) to work. First I installed it on my phone.
Then I did the "get started" instead of using/creating an account.
Then I downloaded all the images for the workouts and a few workout routines.
Next I pulled the apk with apk extractor and installed it on the gear.
Then I did the initial startup on the gear just like I did on the phone.
The last thing I did was push all the files from the phone to the gear and voila! It works.

Now I can leave my phone in the locker at the gym and just use the gear to follow my workout routine.

It's a complicated setup but it's worth it.

Screenshots of it working? I would like to see the UI.
I am holding off from buying a smartwatch because I want Jefit to work, if it works on the Gear, I would not hesitate.

Re: Debug

Hit the build number 5 times and it will enable dev options, which includes a debug. You may then have to change the usb mount mode to media device as well.

Must admit, When i upgraded to Gear 2 I didn't bother with rooting this time. I side-loaded a few apps but that's all.
I just love that i can put music on the Gear 2 and listen with blue-tooth and make private calls of course via blue-tooth and Gear 2
I'm not tempted to change to the iWatch at all. (even though i still have an iPhone5 among my collection) It looks nice, but then so does the Gear 2. And battery life is so much better with Tizen. Interested to see what Samsung come up with next in this line!

Re: Whats your favorite apps to sideload into the Galaxy Gear

My Gear has the latest firmware and when I go to - Settings/Gear Info/About Gear there is no option for USB Debug. :-\
However if I enter About Gear and scroll down to Open source lic... it mentions USB Debug, must be from the previous firmware.

If I connect the Charging Cradle and USB cable to my computer I hear the USB sound effect however it does not show up in Windows File Explorer.
Any suggestions...

You must go into "software information" and tap the software version ten times. Exit that screen and the USB debug option will appear!
