whats your favorite rom?

Ath3nos - Beauty and customization while retaining all the speed and battery life that you get with Froyo.

with a very close second too:

Bumble Bee - Lots of space. Great default fixes and options built in.

AOSP CM7s version of 2.3.4 Gingerbread.

its basically a stock gingerbread rom. that has the added bonus of Cyanogen stuff (notification shade power controls, different lock screens, able to change many more options than in Gingerbread alone)

also, it includes some of the basic apps, like a file browser, theme chooser, terminal, superuser.

when booted for the first time It's almost a stock Gingerbread rom, with no cyanogen branding and the real cool stuff is in the options menu. it doesnt come with some 3rd party launcher or skin.

you can truly customize it the way you want.

as a bonus, it has all the features that make 2.3 a MUCH MUCH better version of android than 2.2, since this rom is ACTUALLY 2.3

the only negative is that the stock headset wont work for calls, the bluetooth doesnt work for a headset (but does for everything else!) and the battery drains quicker when using WiFi than on some other roms. but if you are on wifi, your probably at home, and the phone is probably plugged in. but it should still be noted anyways.

Ive used all the other roms and they are nice and all, but 2.3 is on the whole, much better than 2.2, unless you really dont use any of its features, theres no reason not to try this rom.

one thing we see alot is that a lot of new apps are running better on this ROM than any froyo rom. netflix works perfect, as do some others that have issues on 2.2 roms.

Well Cory, looks like you were right. Its letting me repost your pic. Thing is though, I went into the photo>info and it is definately a PNG file. I have no idea why it wouldn't let me post that screenshot but thanks for your help w/ this issue.

Harmonia for me. Sweet and simple. No need for work arounds. No muss no fuss. Like the simple setup. Easy to use and no branding.

Harmonia 1.3 has been working great for me... Very stable and fast with lots of extra room for additional apps.

I haven't really made up my mind yet. I have 5 sd-cards all with ext4 partitions but with different ROMs on each: BumbleBee, Harmonia, ReBorn, Ath3nos, and Stock. I swap between them as updates come out or I want to test something on each one and see how each feels and acts.

Atm I been using Ath3nos more bc its everything I wanted from AOSP but didn't get. Battery life being something I don't like to fly through so fast. Its also the only ROM I have been able to have my Wiimote connected playing on an emulator with my BT stereo headset on chatting in Mangler through WiFi and still get a call with GooveIP over 3g (Handset not BT to get call). After the call finishes hangup and still be able to continue everything else without a FC. For me AOSP falls all over itself with FCs if it is doing more than 2 user related tasks at once.

P.S. If it matters I only use Thunderc recovery for this ROM line up.

Just flashed backside IHO yesterday. Pretty awesome ROM. Really dig the modded gingerbread.

I switched from AOSP to IHO using BobZhome's build... other than a weird glitch with the dialer (a few numbers in my contacts list cause the dialer to terminate) I have seen great battery life and the highest performance of any rom I've tried to date.

I've uses aospcmod and it was nice but the camera sucked. Now I'm using ath3nos an its been great. I'm thinking of trying IHO or harmonia soon because customization is a big draw for me

After trying various CM7 roms, Rodimus, Bumblebee, Harmonia and ath3nos...

I'd have to say Harmonia! Harmonia has been the snappiest on my Optimus V and has the best battery life out of all of them (from my testing, at least).

I do miss the game performance from the gingerbread roms, though. ;)
