what's your favorite texting app?

Textra does it all for me. Too bad my new Pixel 3 XL doesn't have a notification LED light.

Those having trouble with Textra, have any of you checked the apps notification settings?

I use standard Messages, however I use Allo as well and prefer it. Just can't get anyone to use it with me other than my wife and mother.

^^This

And really, who among us Google fans is not tired of trying to get others to use an app or service that Google created, nerfed, failed to support, then killed? That is where I am at, just tired. There are only so many times I can get the non-techies around me to try the new thing. This is where I'd like to see Google focus more -- complete the development of just 1 of your "universal/unified communication" apps, pleeeease.

Using what came on it.
When I send a picture if something I took.
Verizon messages + comes in.
Thinking about deleting messages plus off.
More trouble from Verizon.

I would have no issue with messages if it had a dark mode option or was at least more customizable.

I didn't know they didn't have a notification light!!! This should be a standard feature of ANY phone.

I use Google Messages. Google has stated that Messages will be its RCS platform, the holdup seems to be getting all the various carriers to get along and buy in.

I also use Allo with those of my contacts who also use it, and that does have a lot of RCS features already baked in.

Ive been giving Messages another try the last few days since they introduced a Dark mode finally....Textra is my alternative, and it rocks.

all the way google stock one now. waiting for contact sharing option. i was a big fan textra before
