Whatsapp images and videos not showing in Smart Switch backup folder

Hi
So i switched from a samsung s8 to a hwa wei. before switching, i backedup my data to my pc using smartswitch. previously when i backedup my data, i was able to view all my pics and videos in the backup folder in my pc. but after the latest smart switch update, my whatsapp images folder is showing as empty. the size of the backup is large. quite a bit of photos. someone please help
