I think I'll be flashing a GPE rom as soon as one is available, I can just nandroid back if I still prefer Sense 6

Then again, I might wait a week or so and try it out on my Nexus 7 first

What is everyone else doing?

My M8 posted this

I like stock android or gpe rom but I just wish it had the same camera features as the sense camera. If gpe rom has same features as sense like the camera then I will defintitly go back to stock android or gpe rom.

@passion4tech I remember a time when you could flash a ported Sense camera on your GPE ROM, but that was until Sense 5.5 I believe and on the M7 not the M8.

I believe I'll also be going the GPE route because I am very excited about Android L and ART. I did run ART for a while on ViperOne ROM but it became a little sluggish eventually and then I had to return to the more stable Delvik.,

I know its not perfect but I'm currently running sinless GPE ROM and Maximus HD Sense ROM 9.0 at the same time via multirom ...i use the GPE as my daily driver and then if I'm travelling or out with family I quickly boot into Maximus to have the HTC camera ready to use

Its the ideal compromise for me at the moment. It only for takes 30 seconds to change ROMs

This way I can sample both versions of lollipop at the same time too without have to wipe and reflash ROMs

I've never bothered with MultiROM but it seems interesting. Might look at it when there's GPE Lollipop ROMs available

Yeah definitely take a look mate. The recent updates allow you to install ROMs on to your external sd card ...which is great but I haven't done that yet, i only found out yesterday how to do it

I've now installed CM 11 with the lollipop theme as well which is a great looking ROM ....the speaker sound is horrific but nothing viper 4 android can't fix

I haven't come across any disadvantages to using multirom ..it helps cure my flash addiction having cm11 as a secondary ROM, with the nightly releases

I have been using MultiROM for quite a while now and it's been great; however, it has a serious problem. Whenever you install a secondary ROM and then install a kernel to it and something goes wrong and you get the infamous black screen, you'd have to hard reboot (power + volume up or down) but as soon as you do that, your internal storage gets completely wiped.

I have been trying to install Excalibur's kernel on CM11, TeamEOS, and Slimkat to no avail. I either get a black screen or it actually boots up but there's no network.

@Calvo1 can you please explain what Viper4Andriod is? Is it a sound mod? Thanks.

This is the first I'm hearing of this . . . and I'm not exactly sure how MultiROM could be causing it. I've installed kernels to plenty of secondary ROMs with no issue. But, just like some ROM zips, the scripting has to be done correctly for it to work properly.

It happened quite a lot to me and to some other members, you can find it in the MultiROM thread on XDA. It's not MultiROM's fault entirely, because it's usually the ROM zip has an issue or the kernel is incompatible or outdated which causes the 'black screen' issue, and when that happens your only choice is to hard reboot which causes the internal storage to be wiped. I posted about it in the thread on XDA and a couple of other members told me they had the same thing happen. It's unfortunate it but it's mainly due to the ROM itself or the kernel being installed.

Right, so not a MultiROM issue - a scripting issue. MultiROM can't fix that.

Yeah, I may have phrased my earlier post incorrectly, I was basically trying to tell him to avoid doing such mistakes in the future.
