I received mine this past Wednesday and I pre ordered on the first day. It only took a few days to get to the east coast from China when it shipped too.

I got a men's 42mm in all silver with a brown leather band. I had the moto 360 gen 1 and I'm definitely pleased with gen 2. Battery life has been excellent so far, I'm usually around 30-35% after a full day of use with the screen set to "always on." I'm also a fan of the smaller size. I wear watches regularly and one of the biggest draws of the moto 360, for me, is that it actually looks like a watch. The 42mm size certainly aids that. Let me know if you all have any questions, I'd be happy to answer.

Side Note: I'm using it with an iPhone 6 until the 2015 Nexi are released

I received the same email yesterday. I ordered the 46mm in silver with the silver metal band. I have a hard time believing the ordering and shipping system is to blame. Guessing it a supply issue with the 46 silver or the metal band. Best Buy shows this combo as "preorder".

It sure would be a great customer service gesture if Motorola included free Motocare Accident Protection for these delayed orders. Give us SOMETHING! An email apology just don't get it.
 
I just called support to ask what was going on, and I did point out that I had ordered on the first possible day and my credit card was charged last week. The customer service rep said that she would request expedited shipping, then she called the order department. She said I would get a tracking number in the next 24 hours, that she would send me a personal email to indicate that she would continue to track it, and said I could respond to her directly if I don't have a tracking number in 24 hours.
 
Just did an online chat and looks like we should receive shipping information in the 24 hours. (fingers crossed)

Larry: So I should receive a shipping date real soon then, like maybe by tomorrow?
Rachelle: That will be correct sir.
Larry: Thanks for your help today.

We're very sorry to have to tell you this, but you won't have your Moto 360 - Mens 46mm US as soon as we had hoped. We now expect it to arrive on Monday, 10/12/15.

Ordered mine through Moto Maker on 9/23 and received it yesterday morning.
42mm all silver with a black band.:)
 
The pattern seems to be that they're delivering the 42mm w/o metal band models, but not the 46mm models.
 
I ordered a 46mm on September 18th, and FedEx attempted delivery today, October 2nd.

The real bummer is that they apparently don't accept pre-authorized signatures on international shipments, so I need to pick it up from a FexEx store tomorrow, but at least that's better than the original shipping date of October 6th.

For the record, my order was an all silver casing with the black leather, so maybe the delayed items have something to do with the options chosen, since mine were pretty plain.
