They don't charge me normally until it's shipped though I remember in the past they used to put a temporary hold on the card. The last couple of time I used their 4 payments every 2 weeks. Did that this time as well.
We shouldn't be talking about the 200MP sensor in this. the comparison should be the 10x Vs the 5x which are 10MP and 50MP respectively.

I don't disagree...just addressing someone's else's comments about 200 megapixel. I didn't look up the size of the sensor but I doubt the increase is significant.

My credit card charge got posted immediately for my Fold 5 and S23 ultra orders also. Earlier it used to not until if ships, but from last couple of releases they no longer put a hold and instead directly post the charge first time itself. At least for me it's been like that.I was surprised to see my credit card charge moved from pending to posted. That usually doesn't happen to me untill they get closer to shipping the devices out. I'm not expecting to see the device before the 29th.
It's something that actually grinds my gears. Call me a grumpy old man, but I don't think I should be charged until they are ready to ship. My flip4 was the bespoke so took a bit longer... that's fine, but I think charging me a full month before the device ships is kind of taking the rip.
