When does the gallery "refresh" a couple of issues

Alright. So the girlfriends nexus: after you take a picture and go to load the gallery up, it doesn't. A force close will fix this. I cleared her data and everything and told her to let me know if it does it again.

My gallery... doesn't show what's on the flash memory all the time. For instance I took a screen shot with nesoid and it wasn't there. I went into a file manager and opened it up and it made the new folder and images in the gallery. What's taking so long? Why did I have to go and do it?

Anyone else see these issues?

The gallery needs to have a rescan of the sd card before it can see the new data. A reboot triggers the native media scanner. This app allows you to force the media scan without a reboot.
