When I play vids wifi gets bumped to provider

Hi

Hope this is the 2015 Moto G forum.

I don't play internet vids that much but, when I'm at home and I do, seems like most of the time I get bumped off wifi onto my provider and it makes a big dent in my monthly 4G minutes.

There doesn't appear to be a "Avoid poor connections" box to be ticked. Gee, I hate to be a conspiracy theorist but could it possibly be some slick trick by my provider? Only seems to happen with playing vids.

Has anyone had that before?

Any ideas what to do?

Welcome to Android Central! If you turn off mobile data on your phone, does it let you watch videos on wifi? Or does it just lose connection?
