That's true. I always say. When you buy a device buy it for what it does now. Not for what features may be added later. Obviously that doesn't mean security updates. I mean feature wise. If you happy now get it. Anything else that come later is gravy. IMOMight be later now, Samsung pulled Oreo for the s8 series because of issues. My phone works great, I don't need Oreo myself. There always seems to be issues after a OS update.

It shouldn't be too long. I'm running the leaked CRB8 Oreo build on my Note 8, and it's buttery smooth and bug free.Might be later now, Samsung pulled Oreo for the s8 series because of issues. My phone works great, I don't need Oreo myself. There always seems to be issues after a OS update.

S9 Will not be the first Samsung device with Oreo. Its already rolled out to the S8 but Samsung put a stop on it to iron out some bugs. S8 and Note 8 will have Oreo before the first S9 is sold.My guess is just after the s9 launch. Samsung will let the s9 be the first with Oreo is my guess.

So it's not out then. It was stopped. So technically it's not out. I don't think it will come out until after the s9 is what I think.S9 Will not be the first Samsung device with Oreo. Stopped on S8, and don't know when it's starting again. I also believe the S9 will be out before Note 8 gets Oreo. Time will tell...S9 Will not be the first Samsung device with Oreo. ExactlyTime will tell.
Still even if it came later, I'd rather have a stable build than something rushed for the sake of saying they put something out.
My Note 8 runs fine now. I'm in no rush to here people complaining about how Oreo screwed up their device. I can wait.
