I have been out of the loop for a while and haven't been keeping up with One X news. At this point is it a given that an OTA fix is coming for the multitasking issue? If so, when can we expect it for AT&T?
Mutlitasking is working fine. HTC has confirmed it. If you dont like how it handles it you may wanna return the phone and get something that fits your needs a little bit better. I for one have no issues with the multitasking currently. Just a heads up in case you just got the phone.
Also if you researched the forums you would have found this information. It's had its own subject for a long while now.

There's a been an update in the works for a while now. (And an RUU leaked recently.) Dunno whether what leaked is final, though.
Will this update "change" the way the One X handles multitasking?
Correct me if I'm wrong but once the custom rooms start flowing wouldn't that be an option to fix too?

I returned mine after HTC's response about the issue.
Unacceptable (IMO) for any experienced android user....this is one of the top features. It would stop music, tunein radio, whatever....and re-start in the middle of playing.
.
I hope so too. There are just too many good things about this phone that I hope this one issues does not spoil. Right now the One X is sold out on Amazon. I am hoping by the time it comes back in stock (I've heard it could be a month), HTC has pushed out some sort of an update. Then I think this phone will be as close to perfect as possible.Htc has said that multitasking is working as designed. Based on that response I think they are just seeing if the community backs down. With the flood of emails and calls they had enough of an uproar to even make a public statement, meaning that its becoming enough of a problem. My gut tells me that there will be a "fix" to this issue by HTC because enough people have raised concern on the other hand it may be some time before it is released because if it is a kernel issue they are going to want to tweak it then see how well it handles sense 4 before releasing. So don't hold your breathe its going to be awhile, but I feel it will come.
