When my tablet going to standby

My Tablet Galaxy Note 10 2014 after when i used it's go to standby by default ok???
when i back to the work again it is not trun on I show take power then keep Volume Key to reset and back to the recovery mode
what shoud i do

I have always pressed menu key and it comes back to life and it just required security swipe to get back to work....Think a quick tap on power button should bring it back to life also....
