When using another text app do you leave the stock app running in the background?

Just wondering of you disable it or not. Since you lose rejection messages if you disable. Right now I have it disabled

I just leave it. I have all notifications shut off within it so ChompSMS takes over.

Yeah I think I might do the same so I retain the feature to text a rejection message. I would use the stock app but it's just so horrible and ugly too.
