Loving my P40 Pro and have successfully Phone Cloned all my apps including banking over, but the question I have is when will Huawei make the banking apps native to the app gallery?

Good to know mate, I'm the same with the P40 Pro, all good and working properly.

Good question too, I assume it takes a while to get everyone on board. There are quite a few countries out there, so coordinating this whole thing must be a nightmare ans since money ans security is involved, they have to get it right.

True but I think the UK banking apps would be a great way to show how strong the app gallery is, How long do you think it will take?

I can update my first direct app on petal search though- dunno if that helps

Think its more about confidence in the ecosystem that they are supported on the native app store, people ask me this and telling them I had to transfer my banking apps over doesnt look that appealing to a bunch of people

There are people petitioning on twitter and Facebook to companies like Barclays who havent made their app able to work on HMS devices yet! Ill see if I can find a link

I think it's actually the other way around. It's up to the banks to approve and release their apps on Huawei's app store. Huawei can't just steal (and that's what it would amount to) a bank's app and release it on their own store.

Agreed and i think it will happen but needs to be done soon! Barclays as mentioned before are just poor and thats the bank itself

That's true, I don't think banking apps get updated too frequently anyway (at best I'd say every month, for security). But it would definetly be easier and inspire confidence to have it ready on their app store.

Makes perfect sense, I am sure Huawei would love to just have all the banking apps ready, but it's not up to them.

100% I just wish the banks would stop being so slow!! Even HSBC isn't on there and am I right in saying they are a Chinese originated company?

Haha, I guess this is as good a time as any to talk about colonialism and Chinese developments. Anyway, I think they are still "technically" a British company, but such a huge corporation is not bound by mere national borders, it exists everywhere (kinda like "god" :) . It might have originated in China, but only geographically.
