When will my device bootloop?

I've had the phone since December and now it's may. My sn is 507. Does this mean my device will bootloop? If it does when will it happen? And will there be any indication it will happen? I'm seriously considering returning the phone for a nexus 6p

Odds are greatly in your favor that it won't boot loop ever. That's my conclusion putting emotion aside. Of course some of those that have had the problem think it will happen to every one.

if this is the only device you have for 911 calls ...get a back-up phone that you can immediately swap the sim into. Micro-Sim compatible.

I just checked, 507's are scheduled for boot looping starting next Tuesday the 10th. Make sure you have everything backed up before then!

[warning: yes this is sarcasm]

My girlfriend's just bootlooped. I feel like at this point they should just do a recall.

T-Mobile sent her a new device... With serial number beginning in 505 -_-

We purchased 3 G4's in September, all dated 508. Mine started the boot loop syndrome in December. My husbands started it 2 weeks ago. My daughters is the only one so far that has not had the problem, doesn't mean it won't, just hasn't chosen its time yet. It may never, that is what she is hoping for. You just never know.

Seems like you gotta ship out to LG for a repair (as I chose to do despite the 2 week turnover time). The real question is if the fix is a legit fix that will keep me from facing the same issues a half year from now.

The question is if LG replaces flash memory or motherboard. From what I've read at XDA I don't see how replacing flash memory can help...

I purchased mine in August and it is also a 505. Mine went into bootloop last week. Had to send to LG. Up until that time, no problems with phone at all. Was just sitting on my desk and the next thing you know...

Just happened to me last weekend and I had a 506. Same story - sitting there on the desk and that morning happened to reboot and then went into a boot loop. Got the warranty replacement just now and it's another 506 :-\

Bought mine 8 months ago. Mine decided to loop last week in the middle of the night while on vacation in Canada. It was my sole map/guide(gps) . Luckily I had other people with me or else I would have had a hell of a time getting back over to the US with no map. It was a 505. This new one I'm posting from is the replacement t-mobile overnighted to me with sn 507.

I had my G4 for 6 months. 1 month ago it went in bootloop, i sent it back and they repaired it. I got it yesterday, i dont know what they replaced but my guess is motherboard.
