WHEN will nexus s get Official Ice cream sandwich?

what version of gingerbread did you updae from?

Well i read around that many nexus s would update to 2.3.6 first and then update to ics so to be safe I updated to 2.3.6 build GRK39F first then i updated to the t-mobile ics build IML74K
and after i installed the I9020AUCKF1 baseband
I also installed the face unlock app and its working fine

do you need to be rooted? will u still recieve otas?

Yea you have to be rooted but i dont know there hasnt been any ics updates theres no way of telling yet
My guess is probably not but hey thats what rooting is for anyways ;)

Sad that everything else seems to be getting ICS before us. Honestly it pisses me off to see talk of all these tablets and other phones getting it and not another peep has been heard about AT&T Nexus S, at least as far as I've seen.PPFFFFTTT!!

And one of the MAJOR reasons I got the Nexus S is because we were supposed to be in the FIRST round of new releases.. I am not losing hope... but I don't like the way this is going down...

What other phones have received official ICS?

Sent from one of the following: Galaxy Nexus, Bionic or Xoom using Tapatalk.

I suggest rooting and unlocking the bootloader, and putting ICS on there.

I got tired of the wait as many did, and I decided to put it on my self.
