When/Will T-mobile Galaxy Note get the 4.1.2 update?

The multi window update was from 4.1.1. Without to 4.1.1. With

4.1.2 won't give you much more. However rims have their add ons and root will give you more.

4.2 is the update to watch for

Waking up the LTE radio qualifies as much more.

I plugged into kies this morning and was updated by kies to 4.1.2 and also got the lte activated/unlocked or whatever you want to call it. I'm in Phx.

Hey folks:

I got the 4.1.2 update this morning via the OTA push. I'm not in a LTE service area and that's ok. However, ever since the update, I've noticed that the SmartStay eyeball icon stays in the notification bar all the time. I'm thinking if it's always on, it's always draining battery power. I've power cycled the phone several times now, and I've turned off the SmartStay function in settings, but the icon remains persistent.

Has anyone else experienced this new issue post update?

Regards,

Yep the Smart Stay eyeball is there all the time. I doubt it affects power to have the icon on (i assume it works the old way and the icon is just always on). I dont like it. I prefer not to have tons of icons in the status bar.

I did notice that battery drain was a bit more with it searching for LTE (I live near Dallas, and no LTE here yet either). Today I set it to not look for LTE and battery life is back to great. I know when LTE gets here, there will be a bit of noise and I will turn it back on then.

Thanks for responding and confirming something similar. I don't care for the extra icon either. I was thinking something went wrong with my update, or my combination of apps and the update was causing conflicts. I've go so far as to factory reset my phone and now the icon is only on when I have the function enabled, but when it is enabled, it's always on.

Finally received my update. My swype seems different. Now, when are we getting 4.2.... in 2 years lol
(Oh yeah I'm live in Chicago)

I heve been rooted since day two of note ii release.

I have been runing jedix rom and keeping updated with new versions of that rom.

International samsung stock built for tmobile version note ii.

When I was around lte in slc my phone instinctively picked up ob it and was happy, no tmobile update required nothing other than just updating my rom.
