When will the Bionic get the ICS Update?

LOL It isn't even officially out yet and we're already clambering for the next OS release! We're all too geeky for our own good. :p

Been hearing a lot about ICS lately. I see numerous posts of everyone saying they want it, but I haven't seen anyone elaborate on what it is and what it brings to Android.
Anyone care to explain?

no matter when it's officially released and pushed via moto, i can almost assure you all that the vanilla build will be available for those rooted give or take a week of the next prime's release.

dont think so. unless moto unlocks the BL you will never get an AOSP. you will be at the mercy of Moto to your ice cream fix.

Actually with 2nd-init it could be possible. CVPCS has said it's possible on Gingerbread kernels now so if Moto doesn't unlock the bootloader (hoping they stick to their word and do, or something leaks out that does like it did for the Atrix/Photon) we could still use AOSP ROMs.

I'm going to go with:

Jelly Bean or Jelly Donut. Bean probably since Donut was already used.

December. I know the Droid X1 got Froyo about 2 months after the DX1 came out, so Nov is a good guess too.

Jellybean... so ominous.
