When will the media and public's love affair with the iPhone end?

Are you voting on your own post??? LOL!

How about:

Grandmother: How do I shut down Windows 8??

Me: Beats me! (and beats just about EVERYONE who first uses a Windows 8 machine!)

Grandmother: I KNEW I should have stuck with Windows 7. It's AWESOME!

Me: Yes...and that's what most of the public is apparently doing...

Yeah. shouldn't an OS have an obvious way to turn it off? I'm sure lots of people will just hit a power button.

This sounds like a joke. To get a movie on iPad you do 2 steps. Open App Store then download movie. I can't see had that would be hard. To download your personal movies you just go to movie location and drag it to iTunes then sync. It can't get any easier.

My parents have had zero issues transferring movies to their iPad and iPhones.

Yeah that's real easier than click and drag lol

With the slick OS and amazing specs on these Macs they'd be my dream computer if only they were more friendly with hardcore gaming.

No one has called you a name. However, you are quite defensive about apple.

If you go back to the beginning of this thread. you will see several people got ticked off at me when I said that even though I overall preferred my Note2, there were some things about the iOS environment that I though Apple was doing better.

I added that line the post to avoid the personal attacks and digressions again.

Because drag and drop worked so well for other media players that competed with the iPod back in the day.

Exact reason why I never bought an ipod actually and I bought MANY media players!

I only had an iPod cause I got it for my birthday. Even from the beginning putting music on it through iTunes was a pain in the ass.

You should just expect that anytime you agree with anything that Apple does that there will be an Android fanboy quick to come in with a personal attack. As a person who has never purchased an Apple product for themselves, I've gotten used to it. Report it and move on.

And I went with Zune because the Zune software made it damn easy to organize and sync my content. I had a Sansa Clip and realized drag and drop sucked. Only used it to watch TV at the gym to hear the audio over FM.

I actually bought the Zune when it first came out and when I opened it up and realized I had to install a software in order to put music in it alla i-tunes.....I returned it that same day! I LOVED the Sansa clip for gym use. Still have it and it still works! D'ffrnt strokes as they say...

Grandma: how do I turn off my windows computer?

Me: why would you want to ever turn off all that goodness?

Well played sir... and true. However.... I dont miss my Optical Drive at all. I am impressed by Win 8 and I applaud Microsoft for the bringing a game changer to their desktop. I do see some resistance by corporate users in upgrading. Makes Win 7 much like Windows 2000 was when XP came out.

I am running Win 7 on my MBPR and like it... my only beef is Microsoft's Activation/Authentication Bull Crap. Its as if they assume first you are a thief before a legit customer. Prior to switching to OSX, I built my own PCs and would ofter upgrade them. Almost everytime I did, I had to call Microsoft to activate/authenticate Windows.

Apple is totally different in this aspect. Also in upgrade pricing. (I hear upgrades to Win 8 is very resonably priced compared to prior upgrades... which is good."
:D I couldn't resist.

Ya. For $39 its a bargain and although I am not using it IE10 is surprisingly fast. The loss of the start button was stupid but I bought the Start 8 program to add it back in.

Regardless it runs very fast an efficient and the Metro style add ons are totally optional. It feels very much like Windows 7 with some nice upgrades.
