Seems like Motorola could start with the Razr, add a GSM radio+sim slot, and maybe even boost the battery to 2200mAh, and the thing would STILL only be about a cm thick... No?

Any rumors out there? With the competition between moto, htc, Samsung, etc, I'm surprised we're not hearing something.

That's what I am waiting for. I love my TB but will upgrade when the above phone comes out.

Still using my Storm2 and waiting, but getting a new Archos dual 1.2Gz core pad so I guess I can wait a little longer. Sigh.

Anyone hearing ANYTHING about an LTE/global phone coming to Verizon? Gotta be soon, I'd think... Can anyone think of a reason this WON'T come in 1Q 2012?

Really? because If you walk into a verizon store, they will swear up and down that the 4g sim card does not do anything for GSM, the global network you need to have. They will work in any of the CMDA countries that verizon has partnerships with, which is why they are 26 country ready, but not 150 that you need to be considered a global phone. The verizon store even told me they dont have GSM radios so the sim card would be useless for what you suggest.

Ummm, no. An LTE sim card isn't the same as the GSM sim card of a "world phone". Unless the entire world is on LTE, and the phone supports those LTE bands....

I thought I read an article a little while ago that the Droid 4 will be 4G and only available in international version. Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what it said.

Yes, the current rummor is that the Droid 4 will have both LTE and GSM. Now I dont know if that means it will have two sim cards or if it will use one sim card so when you go to other countries you just dont use the LTE sim card.
