When will you buy the bionic?

I wanted to know when you were going to buy the bionic. With all this technology and software that has to be integrated I was wonder how it is going to act when it first comes out. I does seem like it is the norm to release a phone that is not software ready and work the bugs out on the fly. What is your opinion on purchase date for this phone.

I intend to buy on release. provided the Bionic isn't a paperweight, it MUST be much better than my enV Touch.

I wish I could hold off that long but given the long delays in getting this phone out if I waited much longer knowing it was out I'd likely rupture something...

I am waiting on more info on that Samsung phone which is supposed to be released on the same day as the Dionic and I will probably decided between one of the two, cant wait much longer as my OG Droid is falling apart.

I will probably wait till the 1st week in October. That will give me enough time to see how well its running for others, and see what else is on the horizon.

I have 2 upgrades buring a hole in my pocket, LTE going live for my city next week, and me at my wits end. It will be hard but I will wait.

I have the og droid which works but is slow....but I may hold out until next Feb. or Mar. to see what is coming out. I never renew my contract as soon as it is up, so I've got the time...so lets see what is on the horizon.

"hope for the best." ??? Really? How about "I will Pre-order the Bionic and have the best" lol 'Hoping for the best' is basically saying we're not sure its any better than what we have now... in my case it should be WAY better

Yes. Sometimes people have gotten their new phones as early as the next day. Which can be as much as a week before the nearest store gets it.

Why pre-order? Because we want it NOW!

Pre ordering in most cases allow you to get the phone before the stores do. If pre orders start on 9/1 there is a good chance people will get them overnighted and possibly have them in hands by 9/3. Monday 9/5 at the latest in most cases. Usually people on the forums are doing un boxing and first time reviews even before the major websites do. So the biggest plus will be getting the device before anyone else does.

Lol anything will be better than your EnV Touch. You could pick up a free Android phone and it'd be better. Same here in my case, I've waited on this phone because I want to strap my phone to a rocket and shoot it off, I hate this Chocolate. I will buy this thing as soon as I can, pre-order is a must! Anything is better than this piece of junk
