Where are my files?

I moved from a MyTouch 4G slide to the Droid DNA today. I'm having quite a learning curve with this new one, I can't seem to find anything, but my biggest problem is where do I go to look at my files? I have put a few things on the phone in the download folder, but can not seem to find where I go to look at the folders that are on the phone. Any help appreciated. Reading through all the forums to get tips/hints/things to watch out for! Hoping to love it but right now just frustrated at it's lack of user friendliness (or my ignorance!)

Download a file manager such as Astro or file explorer. Finding the download folder should be easy from there.
