where are my notifications on my Note 8

Why am I no longer able to receive notification from non google apps on my Note 8?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that you don't even see a notification icon in the status bar? Have you already checked all of the notification settings for those app? Do you have any power-saving modes turned on, or are you restricting background data for any apps?
