You don't have to get the OEM charger. As long as you get one with 1.5A output or higher, or better yet a Quick Charge 2.0 certified charger, you'll be fine. The USB cables are universal, but my OEM was actually pretty durable compared to other genetic and brand name cables.

Just got the Quick Charger in from Amazon and am impressed with the results. My phone was at 40% when I plugged it in. In 15 minutes it was up to 60%. In one hour it was at 98% and fully charged in one hour fifteen minutes. Think I need one more for the road and one for the car........
