Where can i find the serial number on my Verizon Galaxy S5

[AC Question]

I'm using a Galaxy S5 from Verizon on T-Mobile, and can't update the software without Samsung Kies. Samsung Kies requires the serial number, but I can't find it anywhere. It's not under the battery, not under settings > about phone > status, and the phone didn't come with the original box. Also, when I try dialing *#06# I get an error "Connection problem or invalid MMI code. The IMEI is the only number I can find, but won't work! please help

Try Samsung Smart Switch - it also updates Android. (So does Settings/General/About device/Software update.)
