Android Central Question

I just factory reset my Pixel 2 (trying to iron out some kinks with Android P DP3) and I can't find the Android Central app on the Play Store. Even the link in the ad at the top of my screen, as I type this, for the app doesn't work. Hopefully it returns soon!

Yeah, something weird is going on. I couldn't find it from my library and from settings - apps - Android Central - app details I get 'item not found'.

Having the app dev team take a look into this ASAP, it should be there. No real reason for it to be missing.

This is just a guess, but the Android Central app was titled "Android Central - Tips & Apps", which is a violation of the Impersonation section of the Developer Policies and a violation of the Android brand guidelines. Both violations are due to the first word of the app title being, "Android". The forums app, called, "AC Forums App for Android" follows these policies by the use of "for Android" rather than starting the title with the word, "Android".

From the brand guidelines:

"Android", or anything confusingly similar to "Android", cannot be used in names of applications or accessory products, including phones, tablets, TVs, speakers, headphones, watches, and other devices. Instead, use "for Android".
Incorrect: "Android MediaPlayer" or "Ndroid MediaPlayer"
Correct: "MediaPlayer for Android"

Funny, it's just named "Android Central" on my device..

Hi welcome to AC!
The Android Central app is no longer available , you can access it through website,/Tapatalk/Android Central Forum app

I was pleased to recently notice the AC Forums App working again. I almost deleted it, not haven used it for quite a while since it earlier stopped working. Gave it a try yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Yeah!!
