Where has the edit (trim) video function in Google photos gone in the HTC U11?

On my HTC 10, from the Google Photos app, I could select a video and there were 4 buttons at the bottom; share, edit, information & delete. The edit button allowed you to trim the video. On the HTC U11 however, there are only 3 buttons available when you select a video: the edit button is missing. WTF? How can I easily trim a video?

At the bottom of my Google Photos app on my HTC U11, when looking at the video before hitting play, I have 4 buttons. Share, Edit, Info, and Trash. When I hit edit, I see a strip with handles on both ends to trim from both directions, as well as a button to stabilize and a rotate button.
