Where is 4.0.4 OTA?

Has anyone received an official 4.0.4 update? The leaked version has been on the web for a couple of weeks. Supposedly someone received that version OTA and then put it on the web but it seems strange that there has been no mass rollout of the 4.0.4 in the couple of weeks that followed. The reports from people who've put the leaked version on the GN have been good so it seems unlikely that there is a major bug that's holding up the release. There also hasn't been any mention of a new feature in the release that would give rise to another pissing match between Verizon and Google. Does anyone have an idea as to why an official 4.0.4 isn't out yet.

not out yet. they are taking their sweet time. It had better be PERFECT and bug free!

IF 4.0.4 is going to be the next OTA, then it would be Verizon holding it up due to their own testing.

Chances are the next OTA is going to be something further down the road though.

Not to come off as rude in any way, but if an update hasn't been pushed out, then chances are, it's still being worked on and/ or tested. I can't imagine any of the manufacturers and/ or carriers ever had an update that was completely finished and tested, but decided to sit on it for a while, for no good reason. There must be something they're still in the process of working out.

Anyway, the last rumor I heard was that it's now going to jump to 4.0.5, and is set to be released in mid-March. Whether or not this turns out to be accurate, I don't know, obviously, but that's the last thing I remember hearing about it.

Well, don't expect that. I manage a group of more than 50 web developers and programmers and I joke that any program with more than 4 lines of code in it has bugs. I'm only half joking because there's a lot of truth in there.

Oh so then why hasn't it been pushed to the GSM models hmmm???

I'm not having any significant issues with my Nexus (though improved battery life is always welcome). That said, I'm growing anxious to see the OTA as I am (and will stay) unrooted. I have a feeling it will be 4.0.5 by the time it sees an official roll-out.

I read earlier that the sprint model has 4.0.4 and was having some issues with the radios. I know it is a different phone and all but its a lot more similar to ours than the GSM version so maybe they found something that didn't work too well and wanted to wait for 4.0.5 or the next version that work well.

Because they are different phones?

GSM Nexus =/= LTE Nexus.

We never got 4.0.3 because it was meant for the Nexus S to upgrade it to ICS.

4.0.4 is an update specific to the LTE Nexus.

The 4.0.5 update that is rumored to come out next month is also rumored to be for the GSM nexus so those holdin their breath for that one should take that into consideration as well. Rumors could be wrong, sure.

Sprint is a different carrier, not to mention AFAIK this phone isnt even on the market yet. Whether or not is has the same hardware was the Verizon LTE Nexus, IDK.

i'd like to see more bug fixes in the 4.0.4 update anyway. ie. fix for random reboots (though they are occasional and usually when charging) and the numerous errors with the messaging app (message not sent and opening random background apps). in my opinion it would be better for them to get out as much as possible in this update given the time it takes to go through verizon

It will not take hardly anytime to go through Verizon at all. Why do people think they have anyway to hold the updates up? The only evidence of an update we have seen was 4.0.2 which came to Verizon before the rest of the world!

I don't know folks - I unlocked and loaded up 4.04 - my random reboots are gone, radio signal is two to three times better everywhere, the 3G/4G flip is gone, sound is improved, battery life is better and the rom itself is faster in everything (especially the browser).

Nothing higher than 4.0.2 has been officially pushed to either GSM or LTE models. Just because there is a leaked 4.0.4 for the LTE doesn't mean that it's been officially updated.

Just hold your horses. They'll release the update when its ready and you'll get it shortly after. If you just can't wait then there are ROMs ready to go built from what they have now.

ehh I bet 4.04 or .5 will be a nice bug update the only issue driving me wonkers is the keyboard freezing up. the other issues I can live with and will appreciate 3g 4g toggle improvement. Hey at least we have ics lol it looks like it will be hune before the razr and rezound get it and makes me glad i got this even though I wish we had razer build quality. the nexus is not bad but the razer is almost a military phone and the max with the battery upgrade is awesome.:(

I think she pulled that one out of....... oh never mind.

i wonder if there's a prize for the "millionth and one when's the GN update coming?" thread. you know, like at the grocery store when the balloons fall on you....
