Yeah I blame Samsung as much as the crappy carriers for continuing to bend over back to them. Yes I get carriers control sales channel etc but have some pride Samsung ... Obviously all they care is sales and not unified consistent user experience etc. Love Apple for their disdain of carriers

So true, how Apple at this point still able control carriers amazing.

I'm almost ready to go back to the iPhone with all the stuff Verizon strips out of these Samsung phones.
You should see how bad Verizon has gimped the Tab S6, it's unbelievable.
Plus, where the hell are the latest updates from Verizon?

Verizon is the nations largest carrier and sells the most phones, it's how they get away with it. Apple however having an exclusive OS people wanted actually forced changes in Verizon to let Verizon sell their phones.

Apple forced Verizon to eliminate 1 year contracts and sell exclusively 2 year contracts in order to gain access to the iPhone 4. They also required an in store display with live phones that the store had to purchase, Apple didn't provide it. Verizon had to maintain Apples pricing and could not run sales or promotions unless Apple said so. Stores that didn't follow guidelines were unable to carry Apple products. Some smaller Verizon stores that weren't corporate owned didn't carry they iPhone.

Meanwhile Verizon also heavily pushed their Droid brand of Android phones and Samsung had to bend over backward to gain access to the sales channel to compete with HTC, LG, Motorola, etc.

What features do T-Mobile strip? They have just about the purest models out of the major U.S. carriers. It's usually Verizon and At&t that do the stripping. I remember when people were complaining because they didn't receive headphones in the flagship devices lol.

Your correct, Tmobile is same as you get unlocked version, Att is 2nd, I know Att stripped download booster and wifi calling on the unlock version

Well with the new devices it can easily become the unlocked Verizon. Case in point I purchased the T-Mobile variant (for a good deal) and unlocked it to use with Verizon. Tried the Verizon software but it was too crippling with no benefits. With duo being able to be used as default I'm missing nothing from the carrier locked verison.
