I still have great fondness for the Mate 9 I owned last year.

I'm. Surprised all the reviews lost lower SoT than I'm getting. I've had over 9hrs a few times and they're saying 4-6 most of the time.

Me too but the Mate 10 Pro was getting poor battery life (for the size of battery) when it was released last year and came good after an update or two. These review units could still be on pre-release software for all we know
