i am considering getting the S21. should i buy directly from samsung? and/or do i get the same device whether i buy it from samsung, b+h, adorama, best buy, et al?

i want the least amount of bloatware of course.

thank you!!

Unlock from Samsung.com should have deals ,better financing options ,possible gifts with purchase.

I bought mine from Amazon, my wife bought it from Samsung. On Samsung, you can trade in your device to save a little.

Got my s21ultra Best Buy online last January but unfortunately no discounts were offered back then. I think now they have deals.

thanks for all of the replies! turns out it's unavailable in 256GB and therefore no longer appealing to me. :(

est price I could find for Factory Unlocked was at Amazon and mine was delivered yesterday to an Amazon hub locker.
And the prices were a lot better than Samsung.com

For a S21 Ultra with 256gb my total price after all rebates and special offers on my Amazon prime VISA card:

MSRP: $1249.99
Special savings: -$200.00

$1049.99

Using my Amazon prime Visa gave me an extra 5% (total 10% since all purchases with this card from Amazon gives 5% ) off the price after savings: -$104.99

Total price for phone: $945.00

Now, the actual price charged to the card was $1049.99, however, the extra $104.99 was added to the reward which can be used toward a payment or taken out in cash. Since I pay off my credit cards monthly the $104.99 will be deducted from my next payment. End result is the end price of the phone was $945.00 (and yes, there is tax on the $1049.99).

Strange thing is the S21 ultra, 128 gb model was a few bucks more than the 256gb model due to the extra 5% on the Amazon Prime Card

MSRP: $1199.99
Special savings: -$200

Making the final base price 999.99

However for some reason, Amazon was only giving the standard 5% off for using the Amazon Prime VISA card which amounted to $49.99. Making the final cost of the phone as $950.00.

Over black Friday, Samsung store did give the added $200 off, along with a special on buds, and if you don’t have the Amazon Prime VISA card the extra amounts are immaterial.

And yes, it is a NEW factory model, and mine is currently being charged since I didn’t get it till very late last night when I drove to the Amazon hub locker for PU.

congrats! i looked at both amazon and samsung yesterday and only saw a 128GB model in the S21. so i'm giving up on samsung for now.

The Shop Samsung app shows that an Unlocked S21 Ultra 5G is available with 256GB. S21+ 5G has 128 and 256GB options, while the S21 has 128GB.

oh there's an app for that??

well, late last night i may have gotten lucky...i was searching through reddit for long term travel SIM solutions and ended up on the google fi website. there they were selling samsung's S21 with 256GB for $200 off if you activate fi on it. i'm not sure if i'll activate fi on it. but i checked the samsung site again before buying google's and it seems the only 256GB option in the US is on fi. i'll receive it in a couple of days and report back. but it should be unlocked and i am hoping it has dual SIM.

i may regret not getting one of the bigger models. but the S21 is closest in size to my previous android (LG G8) and month old about to be returned iphone 13 pro.

When a phone first comes out, buying directly from Samsung usually provides the best combination of trade-in value, discounts, and freebies. I'm not sure what the tradeoffs are after several months, though.
