Where is the Developer Edition?

My Verizon DE is in my hands as we speak and it is glorious. I just wish Verizon would hurry up and release the update to it!

I count 8 items that are carrier bloatware. Not enough for me to worry about trying to delete, but you can disable them.

That is very strange to me. I guess they will still be subject to the carrier for updates and not just morotolla. Can you take a few pictures so we can see how the black/white combo looks in person?

Don't worry folks with a Verizon X. You will get the update in time to take nice photos for Easter next year!
Joking!

Yeah, kinda sucks the Verizon DE X is still on build 53, where 57 is the new update and the GSM DE X came with build 57.

Oh, and anyone who has their DE, does it look like the bottom left corner of the screen is slightly brighter than the rest?

Ordered GSM DE on 20th at 6:30 PM EST and still shows as "Not Shipped"!! I really cant understand their commitment for delivery. Coming from iPhone 5, the transition hasn't started on a good note... Hope the phone is worth the wait...

I know its probably not the same as the developers edition but I was messing around and apparently turned on developers options in my settings. Hitting the build number 7 times in about phone enables them. Gives you a count down then says that you're a developer.

That's weird to me too. I thought the DE received updates from Motorola. Of course, With CDMA being proprietary, I can easily see the same situation with the MotoX DE as with the Galaxy Nexus, sure, the manufacturer (or Google in the GNex's case) can toss up an update, but if it doesn't work with Verizon's radios, then it doesn't work. Just look at 4.3 on Verizon's GNex. What's the point with all the data drops?

Called Moto today and they still don't have any update other that the same old info "Not Shipped". They mentioned that the case would be escalated to Moto Maker support who will get back to me in 48 hours.

I am thinking of dropping the idea to switch.

For those that have the GSM DE, would you recommend? Also can you use google wallet on it? Thanks!

Unless you need 32gb, just order the T-Mobile version. Also SIM unlocked and bootloader unlockable.

Plus, don't have to deal with the silly DE color scheme.

Mine took 3 days from order placed to in my hands.
