Where Samsung Pay didn't work for you.

Used it yesterday in the self checkout area and it worked fine.

I keep the driver's license in the car. medical insurance card? Kaiser permanente has an app with my card on it.
auto insurance card is kept in the glove compartment with my registration.



As suggested by another member of this forum, I have successfully used my drivers license at the gas pump to use my Samsung Pay today!!
The first time it asked me to swipe the card again. So I tried again and it worked as if I had used a real credit card!

Here is what I did.
1. Start Samsung pay transmission with my pin number (I use PIN instead of fingerprint).
2. Keep holding it near the card slot.
3. Stick the driver's license in all the way.
4. Pull out the license quickly as I keep the back of the phone close to the slot.
5. The pump asked for my billing zipcode.
6. I entered the zipcode using the keypad.
7. Authorized!!!

edit: somewhere in the steps I had to choose "Outside Credit"

This was at a 7/11 gas station.

Tried the gas pumps today got error reading card guess I wasn't fast enough or had the phone correctly. To make sure u have the pay going up against while u r inserting Id correct

I'm thinking of making a shirt with the Samsung Pay logo and below it it's going to say "Yes. It will work." so that I can just point.

Maybe Samsung should market SP with t-shirts saying, "I'm with Samsung Pay". Wear it everytime you go to a place.

Samsung Pay has worked everywhere for me with the exception of Best Buy during my purchase yesterday.

Failed at Best Buy for me too.

Seems pretty lame for them as they have a large Samsung presence in most if not all of their stores. One would think both of them would want SPay to work flawlessly in the BB stores ?

Every best buy store by me has a samsung pay logo on the credit card machine

Yea the bestbuy by me had on their cc machine. Android pay, apple pay and samsung pay.

At best buy you have to put it by the nfc part for it to work... by the swipe I got a card read error and then went to the nfc location and went right through.

For me, it has worked at Kroger, Sam's Club and CVS. It didn't work at TJ Maxx or Dollar Tree.

I've had that issue and I gave it a second attempt which was successful.

Tried it again at Walmart this morning and it was declined. I think Walmart is intentionally blocking Samsung Pay because it worked since launch with no problems and now any time I try to use it at Walmart it is declined.
