Looking to buy a new fast charger in the hopes of getting one that works consistently. Does anyone have any recommendations? Would love to buy one soon locally maybe from Best Buy, Walmart, etc..

Have you had any luck with a fast charger you purchased after getting your Note5?

I only had to swap out the cord....purchased a Monoprice for 6 bucks on Amazon and my phone fast charges every time now.

Just bought 2 from groupon.. they were 9.99 apiece kind of a safe gamble since they are apparently sold by Samsung

I bought a fast charging unit and a cable from Anker on amazon, swapped it out and it hasn't gone to 'cable charging' since.

I think it's the cable that is the issue, but I'm happy with the purchase.

So, maybe my cord is the problem..and not the hub. Interesting. I just figured I'd have to replace the whole thing.

Anker.com. And buy some of their three or six ft high quality cables. Everything I've bought from them, all excellent.

The issue is both the cable AND the AC adapter (the piece that plugs into the wall). The adapter needs to be capable of "adaptive fast charging", like the white one that comes with the Note 5. The cable needs to be high quality, again like the one that comes with the phone.

There are lots of wireless chargers out there, and while many of them work fine to charge the Note 5, they may not be capable of FAST charging, like what can be done with the Note 5 and S6 Edge +.

I'm using the Choetech fast charger (Amazon) and so far it's awesome. $30 for the one that uses your existing Samsung adapter, $40 for the charger and an adapter they supply.

I have these two Aukey fast chargers in addition to the Samsung fast charger that came with my T-Mobile Note 5.

Amazon.com: AUKEY 54W 5-Port USB Desktop Charging Station with Quick Charge 2.0 & AiPower Adaptive Charging Technology; Includes a 3.3ft Quick Charge Micro USB Cable - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories

I've only used the first of these with my note 5 before and it seemed to work fine. I usually use these to charge my Z5C. I also have the Aukey fast charger for my car and that works fine with my Z5C as well.

I'd recommend wireless Fast charging through Choetech or Yootech wireless fast charging receiver. If you want to go the cable rout... Try Anker or I really like the Tronsmart wall unit that does Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. Works across all devices.

I would swap just the cord first as it's likely the culprit instead of wasting money on an entire fast charging unit. There was a post a while back regarding this issue and the cord itself solved most of the fast charging problems.

I just ordered from Groupon. I got 2 for $29 including taxes, shipping and handling. Sounds like a pretty good deal.

Just got the Anker 6ft charging cable and it seems to have fixed my problem! It's fast charging every time now. I just plugged it into the same white Samsung wall unit the phone came with.

Thanks all!
