Where to find the best deal

With the announcement of the new S25 launch in a few days, where should we find the best deal, at the carrier, at Samsung or at a store like Best Buy or Amazon?

What would be the pros and cons of ordering an unlocked phone or better yet one from the carrier?

I've already registered for the reservation, which is practically a marketing study to get a vague idea of how many people would be interested... but I think it's fine with the offers and all that.

In fact, I've already ordered a case on Aliexpress and it's not bad for having protection from day one, then I'll see what good case to buy.

I don't remember on which technology website I read something about how Samsung was planning to give as part of the launch promotion of the S25, some kind of partial or initial subscription to the artificial intelligence service they want to promote, maybe I am one of the few who uses chatgpt or copilot any free service when I need help with AI, but I definitely prefer something more tangible like a promotion for the pre order, something like discounts, an upgrade in capacity (if I buy the 256gb they send me the 512gb at no cost) or that they give me more money for the trade-in, accessories like the Buds or some case, but not a subscription.

In my experiences, it has varied between Samsung and my Carrier (AT&T). Won't know until they announce their pre-order promotions.

Last month I was considering an iPhone 16 Pro Max when it launched and AT&T priced my S23U trade-in at $1000.

When I got my S23U, AT&T offered $900-$1000 for phones as old as an iPhone 11 and had one laying around at work and used that so I didn't have to use my S22U as trade and can save that for future trade.

Before that, it was Samsung offering $1000 for my Note 8 when I got my S22U from them (Plus free HDD upgrade ).

So right now I am waiting to see what Samsung and AT&T will offer and have my S22U and S23U to use as trade.
