Where to IMPORT a csv file of text messages after doing a FR

I just did a FR on DH's phone and can't find where to install/import the cvs file that contains his text messages. I have a copy on the SD card and on my computer. When I click on "my files" and navigate to the SD card, I can seethe csv file. I created it in the default message app by choosing "save messages". Hope someone can tell me where to install this csv file so I can get his text messages back

I do not believe that you can do that natively. You should be able to import them though using SMS Backup and Restore. I use it to back up and restore all my SMS and MMS messages regularly (well, back up regularly and restore once in a while.)

Just install that, then go into the app and tap on "restore" - then just navigate to the CSV file you saved.

It didn't work And somehow the csv file is now a xml file. I can open it and see all the texts but if it's possible to get them to show up in the Verizon default messaging app, I have NO idea. Anyone?
ps...I tried changing the format to csv.
