Where to put Books?

A friend gave me a CD with some books on it. They are in both mobi and epub format. He said the Kindle app used the mobi format. I installed them on my ext SD card in a file called books. The Kindle doesn't find them. Where do I put them so that my wife can read her new books on vacation? We have already downloaded some books from Kindle, but I sure can't find where they went. I did a search for both the author and the title and came up with nothing. Please Help before the wife kills me.

Have you got the kindle app installed on the Tab. What i usually do is, I download the ebooks(mobi) on my kindle. This will automatically sync with your tab. No need to download them to you r sd card on the tab.
Also, a great software that manages your ebooks is CALIBRE.

I Guess I must be doing something wrong. I have CALIBRE installed on my computer. I plug the USB into the computer, but the CALIBRE doesn't recognize the TAB. That seems to be the problem. Is there a certain way I need to install the tab so the CALIBRE recognizes the TAB? Any help would be a great help. Thanks.

Ok. Put your selected books onto your kindle. Open your Kindle app on your tab. Sync your kindle app & there presto, your books are on your tab. Hope this helps
