I have this phone with 8gb storage as you can see in the attached image, the android folder is only 7.51mb, I have over 4.72gb storage with just over 1.24gb for apps only but where has the rest of storage disappeared to ? How comes I only have such small amount left for apps ? the built in system apps are taking up only 556mb.

so, basically buying this phone with 8gb storage, i get half of the space to use and then only 1.24gb for Apps ?

This is a Huawei G535-L11 Android Jellybean 4.3, i even deleted a lot of stuff and bloatware of the phoe with apps and manually, just like i would on a computer

Manufacturers ALWAYS over-rate storage capacity. I don't think I have ever seen a storage device measure out larger than claimed spec. From what I have seen the OS and bloat-ware needs at least 2-4 GB. This varies greatly though since some bloat is non-removable variety from both the carrier and manufacturer.

The only other thing I can suggest is to use file manager and manually look for residual storage folders left over from removed apps. Un-installing the app does not always delete everything. Just the other week I found residual folders left over from apps I had deleted several months ago.
