Where's my NFC?

In an effort to use up all of my Google Prepaid card balance on Google Wallet, I brought the N7 to McDonald's with me this afternoon for lunch. Before entering the line, I made sure I was online using the free wifi offered my McD's. Then I opened Wallet. For several minutes it was initializing the app (usually this takes seconds). When it snapped to, it told me I needed to have NFC turned on for Wallet to work. Hmmm... I've used it before, so I thought it was on. Anyway... went to settings, checked the box, then watched the setting ghost out. Now the option is completely unavailable and the app still won't work.

So, I reached for my GNex to use the balance on that device, only to find Verizon/Google bungled it up today. Back to cash for me...

Ideas on what's up with my Nexus 7?

Looks like its stuck trying to enable the 'NFC'.
Did you try to Power Cycle (Power Off - On) the tablet?
Also check if the NFC is enabled in Settings->Apps->All (which it should be)
