Don't make fun of me, but I'm being forced by my company's IT dept. to ditch my Blackberry Passport in favor of an Iphone 4.
I'm not going to get an apple, I'll talk them into Android.
I'm a heavy business user, who occasionally watches movies on the phone waiting in airports. No interest in games.
Here are the key features I like about my Blackberry
Ultra High resolution 5" square screen - probably matched by the LG G3
USB port allowing charging and connection to USB connected flash drive
Fully compatible with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (edit and save). Show PowerPoint presentation using the USB port, and pinch to zoom into section of the slides.
32 GB of storage and allowance for 128GB SD card
World GSM bands (works on all bands but Verizon's CDMA)
2 day heavy use battery life (don't need a replaceable battery due to this long life)
Flip face down to silence ringing and to turn on battery saving mode
Blinking light to notify me of messages
Custom dictionary
keyboard as a scroll pad / mouse
Yes, I love the physical keyboard and flick to send words to the screen. Not going to happen on a consumer phone like the other fruit and androids
I like that I can download and update OS software and install apk files.
Which Android best fits my business needs? Please PM me with your opinions.
I have no issue with Apps.
The new Blackberrys run most android apps, including google play, Netflix, HBO go, pandora, waze, sygic, open table, starbucks, amazon instant video, sho anytime , Washington Post, fitbit, etc
