I'm a newb so please bear with me... The ad situation on my phone is suddenly brutal. I can hardly type a word or click a button without accidentally clicking on some ad that redirects me to another page. I'm sure this is due to one of the many apps I've downloaded, I'm just not sure how to tell which one short of uninstalling one at a time to see if there is any change.
I cleared cache on all apps and did a virus scan but problem still occurring. Please help, I love my phone dearly.

Also, I don't just download apps indiscriminately. I do my research and only choose apps I actually use. So i'm kinda surprised by this

Welcome to Android Central! You could try installing an ad network detector like Lookout's Ad-Network Detector & Scanner, but these don't always work. Sometimes you just have to uninstall apps one by one until the behavior goes away.

Unfortunately, adware isn't technically malware, and it isn't illegal, so it doesn't prevent an app from being listed in Google Play. Before you install an app (usually a game), look through reviews and see if people complain about ads.

Thanks for the advice. I just downloaded the app you suggested. I'm still having a hard time zoning in on exactly which app(s) are causing the problem but it's giving me the option to opt out of interest based advertising and stuff like that. So thanks for the suggestion

Another suggestion is searching for air push opt out, and ledbolt. They used to be on Play, but I can't find them anymore.
