Which Battery Charger?

I'm looking at the Pixel 9 Pro XL. I've suffered from battery anxiety in the past so any phone I get has to have a long lasting battery.

I see that the Pixel 9 Pro XL can charge at 37 watts. I currently don't have any chargers capable of delivering this spec. I would need to buy a charger to take advantage of the faster charge speeds of the Pro XL.

Google sells a 45 watt charger in the Google Store for $29.99 (no cable included). This charger has some funky voltage/amperage stats. Apparently they are achieving 37 watts by cranking up the voltage to 20 volts and 21 volts rather than the amps.

Output:
PD: 5V/3A, 9V/3A,15V/3A, 20V/2.25A
PPS: up to 11V/3A, 16V/3A, 21V/2.25A max 45W

Here is an Anker charger with basically the same specs but doesn't come with a cable, for $19.99

Here is an Anker Twin Pack of 45 watt chargers that has basically the same output specs as the Google charger, comes with cables, for $29.99. However, the design of the brick/plug configuration means it will block the adjacent outlet, meaning you can only plug one thing into a dual outlet receptacle.

I suppose the safe play is to buy the Google 45w Charger...

What charger would you buy if you were getting the Pixel 9 Pro XL?

Anker. Use one on my P8P and used one on my P6P. I also have a number of other Anker products and all have worked flawlessly. In my opinion, the Google charger is just not worth the additional cost.

Keep in mind that the Pixel charger uses a function of voltage and current. So, be aware that chargeres that deliver high wattage may not do so at the voltage required to charge the p9XL at it's fastest rate.

PD: 5V/3A, 9V/3A,15V/3A, 20V/2.25A

PPS: up to 11V/3A, 16V/3A, *21V/2.25A max 45W*

Yeah that went right over my head.

And here are the specs for the Anker charger:

Output: 5.0V=3.0A / 9.0V=3.0A / 15.0V-3.0A / 20.0V=2.25A (45W Max);
PPS: 3.3V-11V=5A / 3.3V-16V=3A / 3.3V-21V=2.25A (45W Max)
Looks like it would work just fine.

Here is another one with the same specs. This is a twin pack. Not a name brand (that I know of)

According to this video, it took the official Google charger 1 hour 8 minutes to fully charge the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

I still use chargers from 8 years ago. I find my high wattage laptop charger both chargers slower and causes more heat than a plain PD charger...In any case I pay little attention to charging. It's the first phone I often leave unplugged in my car as the battery does so well.

My usage in the car is always GPS (Doesn't matter where I am going) and YT Music always gets turned on. Everything voice activated for safety.

And my non XL 9 Pro charges fully in the same time. Just 20 minutes extra. Only 20 minutes more not bad for an unofficial charger.

Same. I no longer charge in my car. I probably won't plug it in until I'm on a road trip and rely on Android Auto long term.
