Hey all, I recently started using a smartphone for the first time, a Galaxy S4 :D . Now I was just wondering which camera app you guys use or prefer. I'll be mostly using the camera for taking selfies and other funny stuff with my kids. I want an app that's ideally for this. I'm currently using Candy Camera which I like because it's very easy to use. Just want to know what you guys are using and if there's something better out there. Thanks :D

The stock camera app takes the best photos. The only other camera app I use it VSCO Cam

I "dabbled" with Aviary and Pixlr a little, but have since reverted back to the stock camera app. That's all for now.

I only use the camera app that comes with the phone - or Instagram.

I've always found the main camera app on phones to work best. I don't know if it's just me. But, Instagram seems take lower-quality photos. (Obviously you can mask over it with filters etc.)

If you want an app just to share silly photos with people you know. Have you tried Snapchat?

You can add captions, emoticons etc. As you have to manually add people. You know that no-one weird is looking at your photos, too.

The only phone that really seems to benefit from 3rd party camera apps are Nexus phones... Other than HDR+, the Google Camera is so-so.

But the others.. LG, Samsung, HTC, etc... The stock camera usually works the best.

Usually the stock camera app works the best but I have also experienced that some times the stock camera app crashes! In that case I have installed ProCapture. If the stock camera app does not support HDR, I have installed HDR Camera+.

AZ camera..support for raw and has manual control for almost everything..

I only use my stock camera, does the job for me hehe.
Maybe I should take a look at some of the suggestions though!
