Which camera is better, Note 5 vs iPhone 6S Plus?

Note 5 has the beast of a camera don't think anything other then a dslr can beat it certainly not a Iphone g4 maybe close

G4 manual controls slay the note 5 manual controls. Especially when shooting night scenes with 2+ second long exposure times and low ISO. the note 5 camera is faster and sharper then the G4 though. But it's all about image processing. Apple has that one down. Rarely did you have to wait for a photo to get snapped even indoors. It's going to be a really close battle for sure. I've owned the G3, note 4, iPhone 6 plus, G4, and now the note 5. I'm excited. I'll be picking one up for my daughter and you'll see the comparisons here!

Soo funny crapple phone being able to shoot 4K video, but their 6s has barely a 720p(1344x750 WTF is that?!?!) screen and then the 6s+ only an 1080p screen!! LOL

Samsungs cameras are seriously kicking ****. Did Apple improve their, yes, is it better, don't know and won't until real world blind comparisons are done in a few weeks or so.

I would go for the note 5, Samsung has usually offered a lot more control over the camera compared to Apple, and with the new manual controls on the Note 5 it'll be even better.

It's still way too early to tell.

Like I mentioned in a photography thread, megapixel count alone isn't a true way of judging overall camera performance. The iPhone 6 has a pretty great camera despite 'only' being 8MP. I honestly expect the 6S to be about the same, albeit with more detail.

If I had to pick, I would say Note 5. Not because of the higher MP count but due to the features it has. The iPhone has always been about simplicity in its camera app. There's barely any true manual control. Just a shutter button and an exposure slider on the focal point. The Note 5's camera app has a normal mode but also a Pro mode that gives you more control over your shots, like a DSLR. Of course, it's not on the same level as the LG G4, but it's close.

But really, wait for sample 6S shots and then we'll decide.

Actually, 750p on the 6S and 1080p on the 6S+ is considered "just plain good enough" for that size.

I'm actually happy that they didn't jump onto the QHD bandwagon. Just think about how that screen could destroy the battery life of the 1810mAh battery on the 6S.

Even though my phone has a QHD display, I still think it's overkill.

And the only phone right now that can display native 4K recordings is the XPERIA Z5P.
