Im using the Verizon high gloss black soft silicone case and this fits perfect...never thought I would go silicone, but after having the Case Mate Barely There one and other hard cases for every phone Ive owned, Im not going back anytime soon. The problem with the Case Mate Barely There case and this phone's extended battery is that it does not sit totally flush along the sides.
I have the shell/holster combo and the black silicone case. I use the holster, but I use the silicone case instead of the shell and it works perfectly. This isn't a work around for me as I did the same thing before I got the extended battery and I also did it with my Thunderbolt. I just don't like the shell that much.

What case has the best grip, least blocky, and can fit the extended battery?
I don't know much about cases but I heard the upcoming Case-Mate Pop case would be a good fit for the criteria above. However, it still isn't available :'(
I like this one. It is very thin and is knurled on the sides for grip. While it does fit with the extended battery you can notice a slight pulling away from the screen on the lower sides. Also I'm considering cutting out the space around the power and volume buttons.

Forget the Sena slim case. No way it will fit anything but the standard phone.
I have it and it fits fine. The case starts out super tight, but after about a week it loosens up. I did the first couple days with the standard battery and then switched to the extended.
