I switched from original X to the X2, well worth the upgrade for me. I have always been a big fan of the X's design, the dual core Tegra makes thing s even better.
Hi. I'm coming over from an Incredible. Got it on launch day and really loved it (it was my first touchscreen phone after a few Blackberrys). It's still a very good phone, but I just decided I wanted a bigger screen and didn't want the Thunderbolt due to the battery life issues and the heft of the device.
I was afraid I might really miss Sense because there are some things I really like about it (the scrolling calendar widget is top notch and I used it daily), but I spent a little time trolling the Droid X forum and the "post your screen" thread and figured I could find widgets and other goodies on the market to get me what I might miss.
Was also hoping that this phone would have excellent reception like the Motos I've had in the past. From time to time I thought the signal on the Incredible was a bit weak.
In addition to the bigger screen and signal, I just like gadgets and after a year with the Incredible, I just got a little restless...which says more about me than the phone
Droid Incredible. Which i will definitely miss. Had to drop a line and change my minute plan... they told me doing so would make me lost my $50 upgrade bonus from oldschool new every 2... so i decided to pickup this beast instead of losing that... was waiting for dualcore/4G phone but oh well, i'll have another upgrade i can gank from family plan
I expect to hear a lot of groans, but I've switched from a two year old BlackBerry Pearl to the DroidX2. Not just a small jump in functionality to be sure. You could say (and be completely accurate) that I've gone well beyond my normal comfort zone with this purchase.
The future on these forums is bound to be bright for you Android veterans, especially as you watch me bumble my way through this new world. Live entertainment is the best, right?
Just ordered mine today since I was due for an upgrade. Comming from an HTC Imagio. The Droid X came out a month after I got it... wish I knew then what I know now....
Coming from the Fascinate I got on the week of the launch. My son now has the Fascinate (replacing the original Droid). Nothing wrong with the Fascinate, just got bored with it. My girlfriend has the DX and I've always liked it so I figured I give the X2 a try.
Coming from Samsung Fascinate. Great phone but battery was terrible and had problems with calls going straight to vm with no ring and no missed call. DX2 should arrive tomorrow hope it works better.
