Ok I have K-9 now,but there are a few things that bother me and I don't like, One no pinch/zoom feature and when I have mulitple emails if I scroll while in a email to the right it goes to the next email. Is maildroid any better at this and can you sent the time when you want it to receive emails? Any help would be appreciated.

Kaiten does pinch to zoom on html graphics and doesn't go to the next email when you scroll right. I'm kinda puzzled at your experience as Kaiten is based on K9 and is very similar. Are you sure you've set up the K9 options properly. You might want to look at enhanced email which looks unspectacular but performs well and is my second favorite. Maildroid I will not consider due to it's ridiculous price. I demoed it and wonder what were thinking.

You can disable the swipe in k9. I think you have to turn "gestures" off in interaction part of settings.

I tried out Maildroid in the beginning, but found I liked K9 better. It's been a couple of months, so I honestly don't remember why exactly, sorry.

I like K-9. Used it on my Droid Pro and now I used it only Samsung Galaxy s2.

I like k9 but I can tell you the new ice cream sandwich Gmail is the best.

Thanks. 18.00 bucks is rather expensive IMHO. I'll stick with K-9 for now.

Ah, that was it. I tried the free ad supported version and did not feel it justified $18 for the paid version to get rid of ads and add a few features. K9 has been working well for me.

I liked K-9 so much that I got the paid version (Kaiten). Just wanted to show some support.

In recent weeks, my HTC Droid Incredible 2 has been DEVOURING its battery. It appears that Maildroid is the culprit -- AND it seems to be slower and slower at downloading from my POP3 account. I'm going to try K-9 and see if that makes a difference.

Ya that's why I'm gonna stay with K-9. Now that I figured out pinch and zoom I'm happy.

FWIW, I moved over to K-9 and it's WAY more responsive than Maildroid on my Incredible 2. Both getting the list of messages and getting an individual message took tens of seconds on Maildroid, and are virtually instantaneous on K-9. I've uninstalled Maildroid.
