Which galaxy tablets use an SSD?

This was a disaster.

1) The tablet cover from eBay doesn't fit the P11 Pro. (The zippered one from Amazon is still on its way).

2) There isn't a 3.5mm headphone jack. Or I can't find it.

These sites say it has it:

Only this site says it doesn't have one:

I have the tablet in my hand now, I just got it. I can't find the headphone jack.

I'll call Lenovo this weekend just to make sure I'm not missing it. But if it doesn't have it, I'm going to return it.

I know what's going to happen if I get a USB-C to headphone adapter. Either I'm going to always have trouble finding it; I'm going to lose it; or I'm going to leave it behind somewhere.

Other than that, this tablet looks as good as I would have hoped. The display looks and feels quality.

So, back to the start.

What tablet is similar to this, but has a 3.5mm headphone jack?

Hmm, reviewing the official product site, it shows near the bottom that there is no headphone jack: www.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/android-tablets/lenovo-tab-series/Lenovo-Tab-P11-Pro/p/ZZITZTATB0J. The older Tab M10 does have a jack, so maybe you were looking at that at one point? www.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/android-tablets/lenovo-tab-series/Lenovo-Tab-M10/p/ZZITZTATBAX

Regarding the dongle, I just keep the headphones plugged into it, so that it remains part of the headphone cord.

Well, those 4 links I posted above all said it had a 3.5mm jack. But you are right, it's not on the official specs.

What do you think of the Galaxy Tab S4?

https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/05324b79

I see several on eBay.

When compared to the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro, other than having less storage (64 GB) and less RAM (4 GB), is everything else comparable? Seems like it even has UFS storage

Good processor, display, etc. About as good?

Is this one of the last higher end Galaxy tabs with a headphone jack?

Thanks again for your prompt responses and helpful information.

If this looks good, I could get this for about the same price, maybe even a little less.

The Tab S4 was certainly a flagship when it came out, and I'm sure it still works fine these days. But I think it's probably had its last significant update (to Android 10).

Thanks. Other than not being able to go past Android 10, which should be fine with me, does everything else seem comparable, other than the two areas I mentioned? Any other cause for concern?

Would its AMOLED display be about as good as the Tab 11 Pro?

Samsung has always been renowned for the quality of their displays. Pretty much every review for the Tab S4 praised the AMOLED display, so I doubt you'll have any complaints there.

Otherwise, the specs all seem good for what you need. The main caveat I would keep in mind is that a used (or even refurbished) tablet on eBay could have a somewhat worn out battery, depending on how hard it was used by the previous owner.

Thanks.

The ones on eBay that I'm looking at are in new condition.

Ending up finding a good deal on the 256GB version so I ordered it. So now I'm not even losing internal storage space, when compared to the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro.

What exactly does model SM-T830NZALXAR mean? It seems like the models vary in the NZ** part.

So what does NZAL mean?

I've had the Galaxy Tab 4 for 2 weeks now.

I like it because:

* It has the headphone jack.

* I got a folio case, the kind that I wanted. I couldn't find this for the Lenovo model, because the 3rd party makers hadn't made those yet, or they were coming from China and would take too long.

* It works well.

* As a bonus, it makes it easy to transfer data between my Tab 4 tablet and Note 4 phone. I use this Smart Switch app. I had never used it until I got this tablet, but now it makes it easy.

* I can fit the tablet, inside the folio case, in my zippered case too.

* I've already used the S pen, and the create note app seems a little better too than even the one on my Note 4 phone. There's one small thing it does where I can take 4 images, and create a note out of it, that does it in a little easier way than the way it's done on my phone.

* It has a native flashlight app, which my phone didn't seem to have.

* Battery life doesn't seem as good as estimated. They estimate it at 12+ hours. I think it's closer to 9 - 10. I use it for 30 - 45 minutes a day, and find myself charging it once a week. It doesn't reach 0, but does drop to around or below 50% with that much usage in a week.

But, it's not that big of a deal. Just pointing out my real experience with it.

I'm happy with this.

On the downside, I still haven't received my refund from Lenovo. They say to wait 10 business days, from the time they received my return, to inquire about the status of my return.

It's been almost 10 business days since they received it, and I just get the feeling that this is going to take a long time to be resolved. My impression of their customer support, when it comes refunds or credits, is that they say they're taking care of it, but nothing really happens.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your new tablet! (Just as a clarification, it's a Tab S4, not a Tab 4.)

I'm happy with my Tab S4.

However, one thing.

On my Note 4 phone, smudges rarely stay, and if so, they are easily wiped off with a microfiber cloth.

On my Tab S4 tablet, it seems like it gets fingerprints very easily. And they don't seem to wipe away 100% (even if I use a tiny bit of water on the cloth).

Is there a difference in the materials for the two screens?

And any other advice? I don't like using those screen protectors that can be put on top of the screen (like a sticker).

I can't figure out from the web if the Tab S4 came with an oleophobic coating on the display glass, but if it did, that coating can wear off (especially if the previous owner cleaned the screen with rubbing alcohol on a regular basis, which can remove that coating).

Thanks. This was a new, factory sealed tablet.

Thanks for explaining that some devices have an oleophobic coating, and some don't. Maybe that's the difference.
